Risk Intelligence A/S and MedAire, enter partnership agreement < Back

By MedAire

Risk Intelligence A/S and MedAire, an International SOS Company, have signed a partnership agreement giving MedAire's luxury yacht client base access to the Risk Intelligence maritime security intelligence and advisory services.

MedAire and Risk Intelligence have signed an agreement to work together to deliver a market leading offer, helping yachts to reach higher levels of situational awareness within their day-to-day operations, by catering to the industry’s specific needs. The partnership will initially be focused on providing MedAire’s luxury yacht clients with enhanced service options to complement their existing aviation, maritime and wider security capabilities – this includes access to Risk Intelligence maritime security intelligence, provided by a 24/7 team of global analysts.

In addition to the digital partnership, MedAire clients will have access to Risk Intelligence’s bespoke advisory services. This involves bespoke reports and security advice, to help yachts to fully understand the most appropriate risk mitigation strategies for journeys, particularly when travelling to more remote destinations.

Through these additional tools, MedAire and Risk Intelligence will provide actionable intelligence to superyachts and also help them to comply with global standards, such as the International Ship and Port Security Code (ISPS), for Port and Voyage Risk Assessments, Ship Security plans and Ship security officer compliance training.   The partnership will also provide Risk Intelligence with great market insights from clients already working with MedAire and will create a strong synergy between security and health services.

Steven Bates, General Manager, MedAire Luxury Yachts

“Through this partnership, our clients, which include over 50% of the world’s largest superyachts will benefit from an enhanced and fully integrated security and health service. With many yachts preparing to travel outside of the Mediterranean, as the season draws to a close , it presents the perfect opportunity for Risk Intelligence and MedAire to showcase our combined capabilities. We’re confident that our health alerts, country profiles and cultural tips, combined with Risk Intelligence’s maritime-centric content, available through MedAire’s, upcoming new client portal will make it easier for captains to fulfil their Duty of Care”.

Hans Tino Hansen, CEO of Risk Intelligence says:

“We are extremely excited to be working with MedAire – the wider partnership has a significant potential and I see a great fit between the reputations and offerings of our two companies. The opportunity to address the luxury yacht market is particularly interesting for us, as MedAire has a dominant market share in this sector which has previously been inaccessible to us. The partnership is a first important step in the new Risk Intelligence 2025 Strategy and a great example of how we can expand markets horizontally together with an important commercial partner. Our combined medical and security-based offering is very complimentary and allows us to work together to provide a unique offer in the luxury yacht world”
