The Caribbean regatta season - We've got it covered < Back

By Pantaenius

In superyacht regatta racing, every second and every maneuver counts. When considering your tactics, crew and course, your insurance cover needs to be considered too.

The 2015 Caribbean race season for superyachts began with the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta, held in Virgin Gorda, (March 11th – 14th), where there were many superyachts insured by Pantaenius competing.

Pantaenius are pleased to offer insurance cover specifically tailored for the complex requirements regatta participation can present. The necessary hull and liability covers are long established for this kind of event but we also offer an all-inclusive policy, which protects not only your yacht, but all the individuals on-board as well.

The next event on the calendar was the St Barths Bucket, a regatta Pantaenius have been proud sponsors of for the last four years. Our representatives Michael Kurtz, Wolf Dietz and Björn Burkert were on-hand to advise owners, direct race crew and support the event.

Martin Baum, Pantaenius Managing Director:

“Pantaenius has a strong connection to all major Superyacht Regattas since on average we insure around 30 percent of the fleet. As the market leader, assisting our clients on-site is a principal duty and a privilege.
We greatly value the tradition of gatherings such as the St Barths Bucket Regatta. They have always been vital part of the yachting scene.”

SYRA (Superyacht Racing Association)

Pantaenius encourage the development of superyacht regatta racing worldwide and continue to support SYRA's efforts with their membership and provision of the Pantaenius rangefinders - helping competing yachts ensure they remain at a safe distance for racing.
