WASSP is a world leader in Multibeam technology. Since 2000 WASSP has been developing a range of products for Superyachts and other sectors. Our multibeam sounder gives you a wide-angle 120° port-to-starboard view of the seafloor and water column. The viewing span is over 3 times sea depth, and WASSP can profile an area more than 100 times faster than a single-beam system. With WASSP 3D mapping in real-time, you can accurately profile the water column and seafloor with unparalleled precision.

With WASSP wireless W3 your tender can generate your own 3D Bathometric charts and share them live by WiFi to the mothership. These charts are real including any changes that may have been made since your electronic charts were generated. When exploring remote locations, dive sites or wrecks, the W3 can help you avoid obstacles and accidental damage and plan for the perfect dive, fish or anchorage for lunch. Natural events like cyclones, hurricanes, volcanoes and earthquakes can alter the seafloor. This means the bay in which you anchored last season may no longer be safe. Only real-time data can tell you. Don’t take the risk – play it safe and make your own bathometric maps with WASSP.

REAL-TIME REMOTE MAPPING WITH MULTIBEAM SONAR

The W3 allows for long range real-time remote mapping and advanced “store-and-forward” technology in a buffer memory (up to 24 hours) for out of range synchronisation of data.

Captains are now able to remotely gather accurate bathymetry information previously unavailable - enabling safe navigation and anchorage in poorly chartered regions.

For vessels (in particular, Superyachts) exploring remote locations and dive sites or wrecks, the W3 is the ideal solution for minimising the risk of accidental damages.

New all-in-one Carbon Fibre Pole (optional) Digital DRX transceiver / multibeam transducer / wireless transmitter / GPS, heading & motion sensors integrated into an ultra-lightweight casing (approx. 18kg)

Wideband fully digital 136 - 184kHz transducer technology

Wireless Capability between a mothership & tender vessel (real-time data)

Choose your own functions with new licensing options

Cost-effective solution for multiple applications

Easy to install/commission

Turnkey solution offered with position/heading and motion sensors

TimeZero compatible with optional licence

The all new F3X model is a quantum leap forward in multibeam sounder technology. Significant advances by WASSP engineers have achieved an overall result more than 12 times more powerful than our previous F3 model. Incremental and detailed improvements to the core function of the WASSP technology elevates the F3X to a new standard of performance for Navigation and Game Fishing. Better target detection, deeper depths, greater screen clarity generated by more energy and better processing than ever before.

WASSP, the professional multibeam sounder that delivers water column and seabed profiling with 224 beams offering significant improvements in speed and accuracy over conventional single-beam echo-sounders, is delighted to announce the launch of its big brother in the product range.  The F3X with additional processing and transmission energy will benefit from additional performance at all depths and get the same great WASSP features and functionality in deeper waters.

The WASSP F3X offers significantly more power along with long pulse time that equates to more energy in the water meaning more clarity in shallow and medium depths of 50 to 500m. The F3X with the 80kHz transducer provides the ability to operate as a sounder in depths of 1000m and provide mapping of the sea floor with Water Column Targets (fish) shown in 850m of water. F3X also comes as standard with our patent pending Interference Management Systems (IMS) including AKP ready for install on complex vessels with several other sounders and sonars installed.

How WASSP is reducing the environmental damage caused by ghost gear
Mon, 01 Oct 2018
More Details

Ghost gear, as lost and abandoned fishing equipment is known, is not just an economic loss; it’s a large, growing and potentially long-enduring environmental problem. It has been estimated that some 640,000 tonnes of ghost gear, including nets, pots, ropes and more besides, is left in the s...

The latest in seafloor mapping for superyachts
Tue, 19 Jun 2018
More Details

The latest in seafloor mapping for superyachts Water occupies around 71% of the Earth’s surface. But only about 5% of the world's waters have been mapped with detailed bathymetric data (showing positioned depths). In other words, approximately 66% of the Earth’s waters are currently unmapp...
